Step 1: Remove T Tops
Step 2: Marvel while these little wind deflector thingys pop up.
Step 3: Place T Tops in leather bags and then in the trunk on top of one another, securing with the built in straps.
Step 4: Drive!

I love and miss t-tops. My neighbor had a 96 z-28 with the t-top. I thought it was the coolest thing!

dang, out of all the drivers I see on the road, I'm most jealous of those with t-top turbo Z's. I have a t-top fetish for some reason. Question: is a t-top car like a convertible? ie. heavier due to reinforcement or is the t-bar structural and the car weighs as much as a hardtop?

Not really with the 300ZX. The T Top car is only 60 pounds more than the hard top equivalent. That could be because the car as designed to have t tops. It does add a bit of chassis flex with them off, but not while at any sort of speed, strangely. It's only noticeable when going in and out of driveways on a slant.

ttops are amazing, nothing better than resting your hand on the corner of the windshield and cruising

I believe the slicktop is about 200 pounds lighter than the T-top car, but it's also the base model which comes without some of the other options. So the difference you can attribute to roof reinforcement is probably in the 100 lb range.

do you ever hop into the driver's seat with the top off and the windows rolled down? 80's cop movie style?

Hm I always thought my T-top NA was 3200 vs. slicktops near 3000, but a quick search seems to have the consensus of T-top NA <3200 and slicktop around 3100...

Here's my source. Yes, they're TT, but the parts are all the same so they should add the same amount of weight
